HOW TO NOT OVERLOAD YOUR WASHER & DRYER

OUR GUIDE TO DOING LAUNDRY

AND NOT OVERLOADING THE HIGH EFFECIENCY WAY

1. LOAD SIZE MATTERS

The amount of clothing you put in your washing machine is the most basic and important thing to understand. It does not matter if you are using a top loader washing machine or a front loading washing machine, size of the load matters. Counting your clothes with a little bit of critical thinking is all you have to do. Following this clothing count guide, you will practically never overload your washer or dryer.

NEVER load more then 25 items. here is the clothing count item guide to live by:

- T-shirts counts as 1 item

- 4 pairs of Socks count as 1 item

- 2 pairs of Underwear/Bras count as 1 item

- Long sleeve, Sweat shirts, hoodies count as 2 items

- Shorts or same size Skirts count as 1 item

- Pants count as 2 items

- Jackets and Coats count as 2-3 items

- Towels depending on the size count as 2-3 items

- Wash cloths count as 1-2 items

- Bedding sheet flat or fitted counts as 6 items

- Pillow cases count as 2 items

- Blankets, baby size or throws count as 2 items

- Comforters - wash by themselves one at a time if your machine capacity is rated to handle it***

2. Follow your owners

manual

The manufacturer of your washer or dryer has an owners manual and or user guide for you. READ IT. At least 2 or 3 times. Follow their loading instructions along with the guide above and you should never have a problem overloading your machines.

Overloading your machine will make it wear out a lot faster than it should. It causes stress on the machine when it is overloaded. Then it gets overworked and does not preform as it should. Overloading it will cause the parts to wear out and then you will be calling us for service that could have been avoided.

We hope this helps!
